1 tsp unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp brown sugar

1 tsp smoked paprika

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp kosher salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

  1. In a small bowl, combine espresso, cocoa powder, brown sugar, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Lightly coat the steak with olive oil.
  3. Press the rub evenly onto all sides of the steak.
  4. Let the steak rest at room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes before cooking.
