Bourbon Soy Steak Marinade and Glaze

Ingredients

3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce

2 tbsp bourbon

1 tbsp brown sugar

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

2 cloves garlic, very finely minced

1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, and Worcestershire.
  2. Add garlic and black pepper and mix until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Coat the steak lightly and evenly.
  4. Marinate for 45 to 75 minutes in the refrigerator.
  5. Remove steak and pat completely dry before cooking.

Optional glaze:

Simmer remaining marinade in a small pan for 3 to 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Brush lightly onto steak during the final minute of cooking.
