Bourbon Soy Steak Marinade and Glaze
This bourbon soy marinade is designed to build a deep, caramelized crust while enhancing the natural flavor of the steak. The balance of soy, bourbon, and brown sugar creates a rich glaze that finishes beautifully under high heat.

Ingredients
3 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp bourbon
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
2 cloves garlic, very finely minced
1/2 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine soy sauce, bourbon, brown sugar, and Worcestershire.
- Add garlic and black pepper and mix until the sugar dissolves.
- Coat the steak lightly and evenly.
- Marinate for 45 to 75 minutes in the refrigerator.
- Remove steak and pat completely dry before cooking.
Optional glaze:
Simmer remaining marinade in a small pan for 3 to 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Brush lightly onto steak during the final minute of cooking.
